What will I learn?
You’ll explore a wide range of topics that will enrich your understanding of Indigenous peoples, their worldviews, and their current and historical experiences, such as:
- the histories of the different Indigenous nations,
- the meaning and impact of colonialism,
- the development of respectful relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples,
- the Indigenous values of respect, reciprocity, relevance, responsibility, and relationality that inform the program.
You may choose courses on the topics such as:
- Colonial history and its impacts on Indigenous peoples
- (Re)Membering reciprocal relations
- Indigenous digital and visual media
- Literature and story-telling
- Two-eyed seeing in the natural sciences
- Politics of Indigenous rights
- Indigenous peoples, sustainability, and development
