I currently work as a Senior Marketing Coordinator at the Whitby-based company 360insights. I also run my own business as a freelance photographer called Shot by Jamie. The deciding factor to almost anything I consider doing is: will it allow me to be creative? This was my ultimate question in deciding on a university program, and even further down the line a company to ground myself with. No one necessarily prepares you for those decisions, but it does make the world of difference when you ultimately pick something you are passionate about. That was the ultimate factor in my university success, and now my success in the world of marketing. I first got to experience what the world of marketing looked like through Practicum in my fourth year of the CDMS program, and now can happily say that I am doing a job I not only worked for, but am passionate for. It is not something that happens overnight, but when you do get there everything truly does click. You can find me with a camera in one hand almost at all times, and an eagerness to explore new things in whatever form that may be. For now, I get to reside on the East Coast of Canada while I continue to establish my place in the world of marketing and photography, because this is just the beginning.
