After completing her articling at Legal Aid Ontario, Criminal and Family Law, Farhin was called to the Ontario Bar on June 16, 2025 in London, Ontario. She attributes much of her success to the education, experiences, and mentorship she received at Ontario Tech.
"My time at Ontario Tech played a foundational role in shaping my path toward becoming a lawyer. The Criminology and Justice program not only deepened my understanding of the legal system, but also helped me build the confidence and critical thinking skills I needed to succeed in law school and beyond. The internship program and opportunity to conduct research with Dr. Olga Marques helped me develop research and analysis skills. I was fortunate to serve as VP Downtown with the Ontario Tech Student Union (OTSU), which gave me early exposure to leadership and advocacy; skills that have carried through in my legal career. Professors like Dr. Marques and Dr. Hannah Scott were particularly influential in shaping my thinking; their mentorship inspired me to pursue this path with purpose and perseverance."
