Gender, Sexuality and Race
Experiences with the criminal justice system often differ depending on a person’s gender, sexuality, ethnicity, and race. These intersecting factors form much of the research Criminology faculty are involved in at our university. Topics faculty in the Criminology program research include violence against immigrant women, intimate partner violence survivors, hate crime, anti-black racism, women and addiction/recovery, Indigenous victimization, pornography, sex work, and Islamophobia.
