Dean Stoett Receives Funding for Research Internship

March 2, 2020

The Faculty of Social Science and Humanities will soon be host to an international student from Hong Kong as part of the Mitacs Globalink Research Internship.

The Mitacs Globalink Research Internship sends undergraduate students from all over the world to conduct 12-week research internships under the supervision of Canadian university faculty members. Disciplines explored include science, engineering and mathematics as well as the humanities and social sciences.

Hoi Chun Leung from the University of Hong Kong will be working with Dean Peter Stoett on building an Asian environmental crime database.

“FSSH is always interested in new opportunities to further our international research links,” says Dr. Stoett. “I’m grateful to Mitacs for the funding to make this Globalink Research Internship possible.”
